  1. Communication! Not only is it important to consult the other gal pals on your potential plans, but it’s especially key to get some ideas from the Bride-to-be. Have her write down three of her favorite places or locations and keep the rest a surprise. However, don’t let her know all the dirty details. Just allow for her to give you insight on things she would and would not want to do without giving any spoil alerts. It’s essential that everyone is on board including the bachelorette. We don’t want to take her to that dive bar strip club you drive by on occasion and have her mortified for a lifetime. That would definitely get your BFF title stripped.  While you can plan on your own thrilling ideas, get some insight from others as well. Who knows? They might have an exciting adventure up their sleeve.

  1. Find a Location. Maybe it’s a wellness retreat for the fitness bride, Nashville Tennessee for the country girl, a flower crown making party for the creative spirit, or even Las Vegas for the wild runaway! (Viva Las Vegas, Am I right?) The most important thing to remember is to make sure its somewhere she would actually enjoy. Who’s to say you have to stick to one location? It could be a weekender – wine tasting in Napa Valley that just so happens to turn into a Spa Day. Or even a getaway to the heat and palm trees in the desert of Palm Springs. There’s nothing wrong with bottomless mimosas and brunch served by the pool.

  1. Set the date. Next, set the official date! The sooner the better! There’s nothing more stressful than having the date of an important event up in the air and having your Bachelorette’s besties not be able to make it. Who loves a bachelorette party with no gals to celebrate with? Not me. Pencil it in and plan way in advance!

  1. Manage the Guest List-Don’t be that girl that invites guests without consulting the Bride-to-be. Get the guest list directly from the bride! That saves you the trouble in case you “accidently” forget to invite someone or even worse…you invite that girl the bachelorette can’t stand because you thought they were besties. Leave the guest list up to the Bride, no questions! Also, be sure the other girls know the clear-cut rules, NO BOYS allowed!

  1. Build an itinerary– A nice dinner; a fun activity and brunch are always a must. Does she like Chippendales or is she more of a horseback-riding kind of girl? Be sure everything is in order so there aren’t any last minute malfunctions. Transportation to tickets. Have your T’s crossed and I’s dotted.

  1. Finances– Although you could pay for things like decorations and party favors, be sure to talk to the other girls about pitching in. Especially if it’s at a pricey location. However, make sure the Bride-to-be doesn’t stress about the money aspect! It’s her time to let loose and your job to make sure she has the time of her life. Don’t forget to make sure the extravagances are affordable for everyone, including you! We all know most of us are balling on a budget. Throw out a ballpark number that people can plan for and stick to it as best you can. Don’t forget to add on a few miscellaneous items.

  1. Keep it Festive-Have a theme! Whether it’s 80’s prom, everyone wears glittery sequence dresses, “Bride Tribe” flash tattoos from etsy.com or black tie, make it fun and flirty and make the bride stand out. It’s always fun to keep at least one adventurous surprise from everyone. Maybe it’s a pole dancing class or tickets to a show you’ve all been dying to see. Surprises are everything.

  1. Take pictures- “Pic or it didn’t happen” is in full swing when come to a bachelorette party. How else do you think you’ll be able to tell your kids about that time Mommy jumped on a stage and rode the bull at that dive bar in Nashville? Polaroid’s are always a good idea.  And you might assign one of the bridesmaids the duty of Photog for each evening.

  1. Tokens of Appreciation-Thank everyone for coming with a little something like a pamper or hangover kit from shopBOXFOX.com. Every girl loves a thank you gift…or any gift for that matter. To spice things up, create a “welcome” gift for everyone. Maybe it’s a beach cover up and other nick-knacks they can use for the trip or champagne party favors to pop off the celebration. Make it cute and festive.
